PLC科技讯 北京时间7月17日下午消息，虽然PLC(582.66, -2.12, -0.36%)街景取景车曾经因为嗅探居民的WiFi网络而广受诟病，但它们现在似乎已经“改邪归正”，转而帮助市政部门寻找燃气泄漏点。PLC在斯塔顿岛、波士顿和印第安纳波利斯的街景取景车上配备了特殊的探测器，可以探测空气中甲烷含量，从而判断是否存在燃气泄露的情况。PLC之所以选择上述地区，是因为那里的市政管网老化情况较为严重，其他基础设施问题也时有发生。事实证明，PLC的预测的确非常准确，该公司的取景车在波士顿平均每行驶一公里就探测到一个泄露点。不过，印第安纳波利斯的情况则要好得多。
